I’m Wiley but you can call me Wy for short.
I’m a traveling teacher, who’s been traipsing around the world for the last 7 years learning and teaching in numerous countries. As a result I’ve met some fabulous teachers from all over the globe with various teaching styles and philosophies. Unfortunately, I’ve found that I’ve forgotten most of the wonderful advice, tool, skills, and philosophies that I’ve been lucky enough to come across.
It’s for that very reason I figured I’d start collecting all those resources here. That way, not only do I benefit from all the teachers I come across, but you do too!
Hi Wiley! I’m visiting everyone’s portfolios and to provide feedback on how things are going so far. Here are some suggestions for your site based on what I’ve been able to see:
– Your theme looks great – I like the choice of colors and images, and I think that this will work well for your portfolio.
– Your navigation structure looks good!
– The content on some pages is empty. I think your goal this week is to fill these pages out with content that is meaningful to you (but you’re doing a wonderful job on the other pages – I completely understand that this is a work in progress!)
– Your page opens up to your blog posts, which is totally fine. However, if you don’t plan on using this site as a blog you can set it up so that one of your pages shows when the page loads. You can do this under Settings -> Reading.
– I will be having extended office hours this week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday if you’d like to meet to go over this in greater detail.
